Derby Talent Programme

The Derby Talent Programme is a scheme that provides funding for student and graduate internships. The programme is available to all organisations and charities in the UK, regardless of their size.

We are offering a 'Project Package' for you to recruit a short-term, part-time intern for 150 hours.

Develop your talent pipeline

Our students and graduates have high-level skills, fresh thinking, and huge potential. By offering them work opportunities, you can bring new skills into your business, help them develop, and build your talent pipeline.

In particular, Derby students and graduates will:

have good digital skills and experience of using a wide range of technology
be capable of using their knowledge to solve real business issues and problems, because we build this 'real world learning' into our courses
be curious, passionate about learning, and be able to adapt to change
have the latest subject-specific knowledge
add diversity to your workforce.

Subsidies for internships

We are offering a part-funded internship package which could help your business with the financial costs of employing a student or graduate. We also provide free recruitment support to help you find the right candidate.

If you have a short-term project which would be suitable for a student or graduate, you can recruit through our Project Package Internship;

Part-time intern for a total of 150 hours.
The internship lasts 10 weeks, with the intern working between 15 and 20 hours per week.
The earliest possible start date is 4 November 2024.
You will receive recruitment support, including help with advertising the position, shortlisting candidates, and setting up interviews.
The Student Employment Agency (SEA) will handle the intern's wages, holiday pay, and pension.
Interns will be paid the national living wage.
The employer will receive monthly invoices for the intern's costs.

Total cost of project package to employer: £1450
