About

I have 30 years of experience working in the environmental health field. Before working in higher education, I was employed by various local authorities through England, lastly as a Head of Service. I have also worked internationally within the oil industry in environmental health and loss prevention. 

I occasionally work as a consultant for local housing associations, for either staff development or expert witness cases. I am also a consultant to the Office of National Statistics, employed as part of the English Housing Survey.

Qualifications

Experience in industry

I have over 20 years of environmental health experience in both local government and the private sector both here and internationally, primarily in the fields on food safety and housing standard.

I  also a consultant surveyor to the Office of National Statistics, and have carried out consultancy and training service for the Chartered Institute of Housing, residential social landlords and commercial surveying companies.

International experience

I spent two years working for the Saudi Arabian Oil Company based in Dhahran carrying out a wide range of environmental health duties.
