About

I am a registered nurse and nurse teacher and senior lecturer in nursing, teaching nursing students across all stages of the BSc pre-registration nursing programme. I am also a personal tutor, offering pastoral support for nursing students through their programme.

I am the link lecturer for community practice placements across the north of Derbyshire, supporting students and supervisors and developing and maintaining the quality of the practice learning experience.

Teaching responsibilities

I am module leader for the Research Methods for Practice module in Stage 2 of the BSc in Nursing which is a shared module for adult and mental health nursing students.

I also teach on the integrated adult nursing practice module in Stage 2 of the Adult BSc Nursing programme.

I contribute to modules and teaching across all stages of the BSc nursing programme.

Professional interests

I have interests in ongoing professional development for colleagues and students. Also interprofesional working and learning and transition from pre-registration student to registered practitioner (preceptorship).

Research interests

Teaching and learning and ongoing professional development and learning post-registration.
