Lecturer - Diagnostic Radiography

Teaching at both undergraduate and post graduate levels.

Teaching responsibilities

Part of the team supporting the education of the undergraduate Diagnostic Radiography, MSc (pre reg) and Post Graduate course in Imaging analysis.

Research interests

Particular interest:

Imaging of Rheumatology.

Ergonomics and human factors - can radiography be undertaken differently with improved outcomes to patients, staff and hospitals.

Experience in industry

Trained at the University of Derby. Radiographer at Nottingham University Hospitals.

Started my career as a Radiographer in plain film, moved into a senior post in plain film before migrating to Magnetic Resonance Imaging. In 2000 undertook the reporting course in Musculoskeletal Imaging.

In 2009 became a Superintendent Radiographer managing the Trauma plain film, Fracture clinic at a major trauma centre.

In 2014 undertook other roles within department namely lead Radiographer for the Treatment centre, secondment to the assistant head of Radiology and more recently a Practice development radiographer and lead reporting radiographer.
