I am a programme leader at the University for the Post Qualifying Higher Specialist Award in Interprofessional Practice Education (Social Work)

I am also a module leader on other programmes

Teaching responsibilities

I teach communication skills on the Social Work programme in years one two and three. I also teach on the Health and  Social Care programme in year two. I am also module Leader for the modules delivered on the post graduate programme for pratice education .

Professional interests

I qualified as a social worker in 1986, and have worked in both residential and community based areas of social work.

My experience has been predominately with children and in particular within the field of child protection. My interests are in promoting and developing practice learning opportunities especially within inter professional groups and in child protection

My interests are around the subjects of communication and in particular interprofessional communication. My professional background is in child protection.

I am registered with the Health and Care  Professions Council and I am a member of the steering group for the National Interprofessional student network
