Cars and Parking

Active Travel is the University's preferred way of commuting to campus. If you do need to drive, please consider lift sharing, and opting for a zero or lower emission choice such as an electric vehicle if you can.

Electric Vehicle Charging

We have electric vehicle charging points at our Markeaton Street, Britannia Mill, and Enterprise Centre sites. Our charging points are operated and managed by Blink Charging and you can access them via their convenient app.

We are currently installing charging points as part of our mobility hub at the Kedleston Road site.

We are working on installing charging points across our campus, local charging points can be found on zapmap.

Car parking

Student car parking

Limited amount of parking permits are available for the Derby City Council Markeaton Park and eligible students can apply for a parking permit for a limited number of spaces at Kedleston road.

Staff car parking

Staff members will need to apply for a staff parking permit to be able to park on site.

Motorcycles can park for free in the motorcycle covered bays at our Kedleston Road and Markeaton Street sites.
