Healthy Lifestyle Service

The Healthy Lifestyles Team are available for telephone and video call appointments to support individuals in making sustainable changes for a healthy lifestyle.

The Team provides a free, confidential service to motivate, encourage and support local people in making changes to improve their health and wellbeing. The service consists of six one-to-one sessions over a 12-week period, supporting the areas of:

Telford Mind

Telford Mind is an independent voluntary organisation that is affiliated to National Mind. It exists to promote and support better mental health in Telford and Wrekin and the surrounding areas. The organisation works to promote recovery, aiming to provide high quality services for people who are experiencing mental health issues and / or emotional distress. It also offers support to people undertaking caring roles.

Telford Mind also promotes independence and inclusion, challenging stigma. It promotes self-confidence, self-reliance, and designs and delivers appropriate services and activities through service user participation in development and governance.

We are committed to quality and hold the Mind Quality Mark (MQM). The MQM is a robust quality assurance framework and sets out the required baseline of best practice and legal compliance in all areas of a Local Mind’s governance and activities. A full list of services are available on our website.

Telford Mind Services

Free Nature on Prescription opportunity for Telford employers

Shropshire Wildlife Trust are pleased to be able to guide small groups of employees through a day of wildlife discovery. The initiative is offered free of charge through Nature on Prescription.  Activities are dependant on the season and an individual site’s need. Funded by Telford and Wrekin Council, examples include:

These practical conservation tasks provide multiple benefits to our local communities. The activities are also a great opportunity to help protect Telford’s green spaces and miles of brooks, rivers and streams whilst improving the health and wellbeing of staff.

The duration of activities vary from a day helping a local voluntary conservation group through to adopting a local green space, providing support on a more regular basis - and anything in between!
