Schools and Colleges Liaison

The Schools and Colleges Liaison Team offer an exciting and inspirational programme designed to showcase the breadth of options available to students at the University of Derby. We also host a range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events and have a Teacher Resources on Demand hub so you can stay informed about the latest changes within higher education.

Widening Participation

The Widening Access team works closely with schools within Derby City and Derbyshire to provide activities designed to improve attainment, support achievement and raise awareness of HE and alternative progression opportunities. We aim to support all young people that we engage with to meet their full potential and make well-informed decisions regarding their future.

Mentor Development

With the new DFE requirement of 20 hours of training for Mentors, we have designed a comprehensive training curriculum to support and develop our Mentors who are working with Beginning Teachers in schools.
