Focus on Your Future

What to expect

Focus on your Future is specifically designed to give your Year 13 students, along with Year 12s, an in-depth understanding of what the University of Derby has to offer, from our cutting-edge facilities to our wide variety of courses.

Students can explore our student village to connect with Degree Apprenticeships, employers, support services, and the Union of Students for advice. They also have the opportunity to visit our personal statement clinic, where they can meet with expert advisers for one-on-one support in reviewing their personal statements.

There will be workshops and talks throughout the day which will cover topics such as:

Choosing universities and courses
Completing your personal statement
Student finance

Students will be able to take part in campus tours as well as chat to current students about their experiences of applying to university and student life.
