Full Width Image

This component should be used where possible to add visual impact to a page. It’s intended use is content pages, particularly within research case studies. This component does not work with portrait images, and can only be used when a large enough image is available (see below for image guidance).

It is not recommended to use multiple full width images in a row, however multiple images work well on a page when mixed with other content types such as text blocks. As they are very large and impactful, you may want to consider mixing the use of full width imagery with smaller image group components for visual interest across a page.

• Optional caption
• Image should be landscape
• Image does not crop, height is flexible and respects the original image aspect ratio
• Width of the image must be a minimum 2560px to cover large screens
• Full-width images shouldn't be used at the top of pages as an alternative to an Image hero

Image guidance

• Recommended dimensions are 2560 x 800px or in ThirdLight use 'Full width image' and crop images as required using the 'Constrain proportions' checkbox.
• All images must be optimised using TinyJPG before uploading to T4.
