Derby Casino

A casino has never been designed by a third-year student before so I challenged myself with choosing a very unique scheme, this allowed me to play around with different lighting and ceiling design techniques as well as my interest in modern architecture as this can be seen throughout the proposed scheme. My third-year studies have showcased the importance of sustainable architecture hence why most of the sustainable aspects have been in beaded throughout the design creating a self-sustainable fully working building and surrounding area. The degree show work is a range of different software such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Enscape, Photoshop, and InDesign.

This project has challenged my knowledge of architecture through the different area uses and requirements and how they can be free flowing together. Derby wanted something to be recognised for, so why not a casino that has the potential to be used by the whole Midlands.
