What is National Apprenticeship Week?

National Apprenticeship Week starts from Monday 10 February - Sunday 16 February 2025.

The University of Derby, Buxton, and Leek College will hold a series of events throughout the week; a timetable will be provided in due course.

This year's national theme is: Skills for life - it all starts with skills 

Whether you're growing your business, changing your career, or just starting out, it all starts with skills.

Young people, adults, and businesses, there are choices for everyone.

Our main event

East Midlands Degree Apprenticeship Fair

Wednesday 12 February - 9.00 am - 3.00 pm

Location: Kedleston Road, Derby, DE22 1GB

This is our major event of the week and aims to showcase the apprenticeship opportunities across our region. Many well-known employers will be talking about the apprenticeships at their companies, and existing apprentices will be sharing their experiences too.

The event is aimed at:

• Businesses interested in showcasing apprenticeship opportunities 
• School, college and university students
• Teaching staff and career advisors

Our employer partners will have stands showcasing their apprenticeship opportunities for the event. We have invited pupils from schools and colleges across the East Midlands to visit us to find out more information and ask any questions they may have about the apprenticeship process and career opportunities.
