The Part-time Jobs and Volunteering Fair is a brilliant opportunity for students and recent graduates to meet employers and discover roles which will help you to gain valuable work experience.

If you are looking for a part-time job or a volunteering position, there will be a wide range of local businesses, charities, and not-for-profit employers on campus, ready to talk to you about opportunities available and how you can apply.

We would recommend that all students consider either a part-time job or volunteering role during your university journey to help improve key skills and maximise your chances of securing a graduation role.

A part-time job is a great way to boost your career prospects through developing your transferrable skills before graduating, and you can earn some extra money whilst studying.

Volunteering is an excellent way to gain relevant industry work experience, increase your network and give back to your community.

The fair will also give you the chance to explore the help and support you can receive from the Careers and Employment Service by visiting the Careers Hub.

Book your place

If you are a current student or recent graduate, you can book your place through the UniHub.

This event is open to all University of Derby students and recent graduates. There will be a 'quiet hour' at the fair for anyone who wants to attend the event in a less busy environment. If you would like to attend this session, between 10am - 11am, please book your place through the designated UniHub link.

If you are an employer and interested in exhibiting at the fair, please complete an expression of interest form, or email derbytalentteam@derby.ac.uk for more details.

Come along, get inspired and build your network!
