University of Derby’s Race Equality Network Seminar Series Presents:

A panel discussion to explore what is sense of belonging through inclusive and equitable service delivery.

Join us for an evening of insightful discussion, thoughts and views exploring sense of belonging within organisations, communities and beyond.

Following partnerships established in 2023, we are proud to invite a Panel of EDI change makers from different organisations to share their views to challenge the narratives of race to explore what sense of belonging means for workplaces and communities.

Panel representatives are from Derbyshire Constabulary, Derby City Council, Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service, University Hospitals of Derby & Burton NHS Trust, The National Trust and ourselves, the University of Derby.

The evening will be led by Cleveland Thompson, Senior Lecturer and Co-Chair of the Race Equality Network at the University of Derby. Cleveland will be asking questions to uncover what the panel are doing to create inclusive working environments as well as providing services for the communities of Derby and Derbyshire.

Panel members will share their current opportunities and challenges in creating a sense of belonging as well as bringing their own personal stories of triumph and views for the future.
