Baasit Siddiqui is joined by Ben Veasey, University Librarian, to introduce your students to important academic skills such as critical thinking and active learning. Critical thinking is all about evaluating the quality of information, understanding the context and applying this knowledge. We already use critical thought in everyday life, for example deciding what to wear each morning, so this workshop focuses on how students can transfer these familiar techniques to their studies.  

Baasit then interviews fellow alumnus and Academic Librarian, Alex Wood, to dispel common misconceptions, discuss assessment methods and gain his top tips for studying.
