Airport transfer booking process video transcript

This video is for new international students starting their studies at the University of

Derby, who may wish to book a free airport transfer coach.

We will be showing you how to book your free coach journey from London Heathrow Airport, London Gatwick Airport, Manchester airport or Birmingham Airport, to Derby or Nottingham. The scheme is only open to new University of Derby International students.

If you are traveling with anyone else, you will need to book and pay for their ticket separately. Once you've received your voucher code, click on the National Express link provided.

In the 'choose your journey' section...

Step one: click the 'Travel from' box and select your airport from the list of eligible airports provided.
Step two: click the 'travel to' box and select your end destination: Derby, or you can also select Nottingham if your accommodation is closer to this location.
Step three: click the 'departure date' box and select your departure date. To be eligible for the free airport transfer, you must be traveling on one of the dates available.
Step four: leave the 'passenger box' as it is. It should say '1 passenger'. You do not need to add anything into the coach card section.
Step five: click the 'find my journey' button to search for the time of the coach you would like to travel on.
Step six: select your chosen journey time.
Step seven: click 'continue'.
Step eight: we recommend that you choose the 'Fully Flexible' fair option.
Step nine: click 'continue'.
Step 10: this screen is where you can add any extras onto your journey such as extra luggage or 'Change & Go', which allows for delays as you can travel either 12 hours before or 12 hours after the booked departure time. We do not cover the cost of these options, so you will have to pay if you choose any of these using one of the payment types listed.
Step 11: click 'continue'.
Step 12: you can either log into your account by inputting your email address and password or you can create an account if you don't already have one. Or you can click the 'check out as guest' option.
Step 13: enter your email address. Followed by your forename. Followed by your surname. Then your phone number and postcode.
Step 14: if you have selected any optional extras, you will need to input your payment or bank details in order to pay for these.
Step 15: click on the 'Do you have a voucher code? Click here' button and enter your onetime voucher code. You will only be able to use the code provided once.
Step 16: click 'apply'.
Step 17: choose if you would like to subscribe to receive emails from National Express. Step 18: double check the details of your booking in the booking summary section and tick the box.
Step 19: click 'confirm booking' to complete your booking and you will receive an email confirmation with your tickets attached from National Express.
