Academics at the University of Derby make 'World Ranking Top 2% Scientists' list

Six academics at the University of Derby have been listed in the ‘World Ranking Top 2% Scientists’, a global list created as part of a study by Stanford University.

The list is produced annually and features the world’s top two per cent of scientists using standardised information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score). 

The study produces data for career-long and single recent year impact, with scientists classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields.

The following University of Derby academics are now classed as being in the global top two per cent:

• Professor Ray Bull, Professor in Criminal Investigation
• Professor Jose Arturo Garza-Reyes, Professor of Operations Management and Head of the Centre for Supply Chain Improvement
• Professor Paul Gilbert, Professor of Clinical Psychology 
• Professor Alex Molasiotis, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Education
• Professor Haywantee Ramkissoon, Research Professor of Tourism Marketing
• Hugh Rollinson, Emeritus Professor of Earth Science
