Chance to experience University life during Open House event

Students still undecided about what university to go to this September can experience life at the University of Derby by attending an Open House event – the first being held on Results Day (15 August).

There will be a chance to visit teaching sites that are filled with industry-standard facilities, speak to the student services and admissions teams, and tour the award-winning halls of residence.

Jon Hunter, Events Operations Manager at the University of Derby, said:

“Whether you’re looking for a university place or considering a change of direction through Clearing, coming to see our campus in person is the best way to get a sense of whether Derby is right for you.

“Staff and students will be on hand to help visitors make the most of their visit and will be able to answer any questions about the courses we have, and student life in Derby.

“There’s no need to book and there will be free parking and light refreshments available, too.

“The Open House events will be informal drop-in sessions and in order to maximise time on campus, we recommend arriving one hour before the advertised finish time to make the most of the day.” 

The sessions will be as follows, and visitors can turn up at any point within the scheduled times:

• Thursday 15 August: 10am – 6pm
• Friday 16 August (Derby and Chesterfield): 10am – 4pm
• Saturday 17 August: 10am – 2pm
• Sunday 18 August: 12pm – 2pm
• Monday 19 August: 10am – 2pm
• Saturday 24 August: 10am – 2pm
