Postgraduate Scholarships and Bursaries

We have a number of funding opportunities available to students. You must hold an offer to study at the University of Derby before you can apply for our scholarships; please check individual scholarship criteria for additional requirements. 

Current scholarships

The MSc Biomedical Science Scholarship is funded by The School of Biomedical and Forensic Sciences and a group of philanthropists, acting collectively, dedicated to the memory of loved ones who have lost their lives to cancer. The Scholarship aims to support students in financial need studying for their MSc in Biomedical Science, with a preference for those who are planning to focus on research relating to cancer treatments. 

Two awards of £1,000 will be available per academic year, and will be awarded as a tuition fee reduction. Each recipient will also receive £500 to be used for attendance at a conference. 

Eligibility

  • Applicants must hold an offer to study Biomedical Science MSc at the University of Derby
  • The scholarship is open to home and international students

How to apply

Applications open Wednesday 25 September and will close on Friday 15 November. Awards will be made in January 2025.
