Autism: A student’s guide

The landscape surrounding research and discourses in SEND is rapidly changing and evolving, particularly in relation to autism. This book aims to review some of the current research into the aetiology of autism, pedagogical approaches and international perspectives. It also examines the importance of recognising the experiences of the autistic community in areas such as transitions, media representations of autism and the move towards participatory autism research. Trevor will discuss the importance of examining research into autism through a series of lenses.
