Intersectional Narratives: Families of sanctuary navigating the English SEND system

Symposium Description

Wendy Corad's research has focused on the narratives of families of sanctuary residing here in England, specifically how the individual social and cultural contexts of the families have influenced their navigation through the complex SEND system. By taking a retrospective narrative, this presentation will briefly explore the four main themes from the research: homogenisation, connection, culture, and aspiration.
