Liz Atkins
Professor of Vocational Education and Social Justice

Professor Liz Atkins is a leading scholar in the field of vocational education and training (VET). She has published widely on her concerns about how VET helps low-attaining young people move from school to work and associated ethical/methodological and social justice issues. Her recent book with Duckworth (2019) is Research Methods for Social Justice and Equity in Education (Bloomsbury).

Andy Bloor is a Senior Lecturer in International Education and Programme Lead for the iPGCE. His fields of interest are around International and Comparative Education and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties in children, particularly those with Attachment Disorder and neuro-atypical children.

Trevor is Programme Leader for BA (Hons) and FdA Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). His research interests include the etiology of autism and ADHD, issues and debates in the area of SEND and working with individuals with complex needs.

Lecturer in Mathematics - Teaching in Further Education and Higher Education.  As a lecturer, Lyndsey Mollison delivers GCSE Mathematics (resit) and Functional Skills Mathematics to Level 2/3 learners and Higher Degree Apprentices. She supports teams and individuals delivering Maths and English face-to-face and online at Buxton and Leek College and across the wider University.
