Course description

Effective management of an organisation during periods of normalcy and in crisis requires careful planning to ensure the business remains sustainable and growth-oriented.  To make effective decisions, leaders and managers need to be equipped with the right strategic tools and techniques in order to allow them to quickly understand the complex relationship between the organisation and the business environment in which it operates.

This short course will cover the process of strategic planning, beginning with an understanding of frameworks that are key to analysing the organisations’ situation. Delegates will then be exposed to techniques of employing this analysis to identify the basis of an organisations’ competitive advantage and identify strategies to sustain this advantage in an uncertain, complex and dynamic business environment. The course will then explore a range of corporate and business level strategies that can be employed for survival, growth and expansion.
