Professor Frances Maratos is a chartered psychologist and leading expert in affective science. Her ground-breaking research in the field of Compassion in Education, as well as wellbeing, is world renown. She leads provision of our Compassion CPD’s and curriculums at the UoD, is widely published, has excellent grant capture and is a spokesperson for the Global Compassion Coalition.

Francesca is a Postgraduate Research Student who is aiming to shift bodybuilding from an artistic practice to a research methodology incorporating a written process. 

Francesco Belcastro is a Lecturer and the programme leader of International Relations at the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences here at the University of Derby. He is currently the admissions tutor for International Relations and Diplomacy. He is also a Fellow of the Centre for Syrian Studies, University of St Andrews.

Dr Ferraro joined the University of Derby as Lecturer in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, bringing a wealth of clinical and academic experiences. He received training in the UK and Italy and has emerged as a prominent researcher in Physiology, Biomechanics and Pedagogy.

Fred coordinates the Sustainable Business and Green Growth Research Cluster, where he leads research into pro-environmental enterprise support (PEES) and leadership for sustainability. Fred is a Module Leader on the MSc in Sustainable and Ethical Business Management and supervises PhD, DBA and MBA dissertation students. 

Gary Fisher is Senior Learning Designer. In his current role as Senior Learning Designer, he uses his varied experiences and specialisms to ensure that University of Derby students have the best possible outcomes and enjoy a positive student experience.

Gavin manages and facilitates the Additive Manufacturing resources at IISE. He provides support and advice for students, colleagues and industrial partners on how best to implement these resources within the research and development projects delivered by the Institute.
