Ruth Hawley teaches on the Occupational Therapy programmes, is the MSc (pre-reg) Occupational Therapy stage lead and is a member of the placement team.  Her professional background is in Mental Health and she has completed research regarding video creation for assessment.

As a Senior Lecturer in History, Ruth Larsen is the Programme Leader for undergraduate History programmes. She has research expertise in British History of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, especially relating to gender history and the history of the country house.

Dr Ruth Sims is a senior lecturer in psychology and ergonomics, teaching on-campus psychology, blended learning, and online ergonomics. She has 20 years of experience as a researcher and has now been teaching for over 7 years. Her interests are varied and include social and developmental psychology, companion animals, behaviour change, design ergonomics and cognitive ergonomics.

Ryan Nutting is a Lecturer in History and leads the MA Programme in Public History and Heritage. Ryan is eager to help our students understand and engage with the current issues and controversies facing the heritage sector.

Sean works as an Associate Lecturer and Technician supporting the Forensic Psychology course at the University of Derby.

Ryan is a postgraduate research student whose work is focused on warlike cultures and warrior traditions and how they can affect and shape the world-building process as it relates to Space Western short stories. 

Dr Sa'ad Ali is a Senior Lecturer in Leadership and Management within the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences at the University of Derby.

Sabuj Mallik is the Head of Discipline of Engineering at the University of Derby. He is also an active researcher with research expertise in engineering materials, manufacturing and reliability engineering.
