Bola is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Law. She has collaborated on research with international organisations, national governments and civil society organisations in areas of international environmental law and human rights law.

Brenda is a Senior Lecturer in Health Psychology in the College of Health, Psychology and Social Care. She is also a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and a member of the International Psycho-Oncology Society and British Psychosocial Oncology Society.

Sarah is a member of the Senior Leadership Team for the Centre of Contemporary Hospitality and Tourism, with lead responsibility for our international profile, the growth and success of our UK, EU and International student recruitment, and the strategic direction of our global validated and franchised provision through our valued collaborative and academic partners. 

Brett's current PhD project follows directly on from his degree’s third-year independent study project focusing on how the palaeontology in Malta can help us understand modern climate change. 

Bruce Birkett has 30 years of experience working in the Environmental Health field. Before working in higher education, he was employed by various local authorities through England, lastly as a Head of Service. Bruce has also worked internationally within the oil industry in Environmental Health and loss prevention.

Dr Bruce Wiggins teaches in our Audio Engineering disciplines. He focuses on immersive audio and digital signal processing. His research in immersive audio has led to international impact outside of academia, and was highlighted in our Research Excellence Framework exercises in both 2014 and 2022.

As a Researcher in Researcher in Digital Innovation for Productivity and Sustainability, Dr Bruno Gallotta leads and delivers research and business research activities around engineering for sustainability and net zero to SMEs in the city of Derby.  

Before joining the University in 2019 Jon had a long career in the music industry, working as a sound engineer, primarily in live concert touring. Since joining the University of Derby Jon now teaches on the BSc (Hons) in Sound, Light and Live Event Technology as well as the MSc in Audio Engineering.
