When George Papakyritsis found his true calling was becoming a practising therapist, he realised studying our accredited online Psychology BSc (Hons) was his best first step to achieving his goal.

Gilson Timire has been able to develop a more holistic approach to his working methods as a physiotherapist after studying our Ergonomics and Human Factors MSc at the University of Derby Online Learning. Now, he wants to make a real difference in his career and in Zimbabwe. 

Ken Curley was inspired to become a psychotherapist when he saw the “amazing” positive changes counselling brought to people. He has now found his true calling – and he’s continuing to learn and grow in the profession with the help of our University of Derby Online Learning courses.

Health psychology experts at the University of Derby have helped improve the treatment of pain – and quality of life – for patients with chronic medical conditions such as haemophilia and sickle cell disease. The work has been carried out by Professor James Elander, Professor David Sheffield, and Andrew Baird.
