About

I am currently providing a variety of associate lecturer duties for the university.  These include doctoral and PhD supervision and teaching.  I am also an educational consultant and research project lead elsewhere.

Most recently I provided clinical leadership for the University of Derby Covid 19 Asymptomatic Testing Sites.

Prior to that role, I was deputy dean with leadership responsibility for research, clinical education, international and income generation at the College of Health, Psychology and Social Care.  Before that, I worked at the university in a number of roles including head of the School of Nursing.

I have a particular interest in the organisational structures within the healthcare industry related to supporting newly qualified nurses and practice and clinical education in general.  I am a founder member and national general secretary of the UK Clinical Nurse Educator Network.
