About

I am a local lad, living in Burton-on-Trent, as I have all my life. I am a University of Derby graduate in Biology and Geology. I have a passion for Geology and, arguably more importantly, football. I also have a love and appreciation for wildlife and the natural world and volunteer at Derbyshire Bird Auction.

My current PhD project follows directly on from my degree’s third year independent study project focusing on how the palaeontology in Malta can help us understand modern climate change. On my journey, I have completed placements with Derby City Council and the British Geological Survey.

Thesis title

Understanding Modern Climate Change: Using Chrono-Biostratigraphy to Reconstruct the Palaeoenvironment of the Maltese Archipelago

Supervisor

Teaching responsibilities

I regularly demonstrate practical sessions and accompany other staff on field excursions in Geology modules.
