About

Dr. Fido joined the University of Derby in January 2018 after completing post-doctoral research at the Welcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (University of Oxford). Dean is an active researcher within the School of Psychology and leads the Society & Justice Research Group. Dean's focal area of interest and expertise is in crimes that involve the non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images (e.g., 'revenge pornography', 'upskirting', and 'deepfake media production').

Dean is the co-chair of the European division of the Aftermath Foundation - an international charity that seeks to signpost victims of domestic abuse as well as translate complex academic literature pertaining to psychopathy into easily accessible material for the general public.
