About

Prior to joining the University of Derby as a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, I spent a couple of years in research positions at Loughborough University and the University of Warwick.

Teaching responsibilities

Currently I am teaching on the following modules: Quality, Reliability and Working Environment, Advanced Applied Analytical Methods, Advanced Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Additive Manufacturing Processes and Independent Scholarship, etc.

Research interests

High-value manufacturing technologies (e.g. Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing), sustainable Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAD/CAM), Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for resource efficiency integration, visualisation and virtual reality and software system applications in engineering.

Experience in industry

After completing my first degree, I spent several years in industry focusing on Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing (RP&M) technologies, Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM), Concurrent Engineering (CE), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software systems.
