About

I am a senior researcher specialising in biological and clinical mass spectrometry, including the associated data analysis pipelines.

I earned my Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the University of Nottingham and pursued my postdoctoral studies at the University of Warwick and the National University of Singapore. Prior to joining the University of Derby, I served as a research assistant professor at the Southern University of Science and Technology and as a senior consultant at the Shenzhen Academy of Metrology and Quality Inspection.

In the summer of 2024, I joined the University of Derby as the director of the Omics Lab, a core research facility specialising in metabolomics and genomics techniques. The laboratory aims to provide collaboration, consultation, and scientific services, facilitating knowledge transfer to academic, clinical, and industrial partners. I am responsible for managing and promoting the research activities of the facility, working closely with my academic and technical colleagues.

Research interests

My multidisciplinary research varied from technological and methodological development to clinical metabolomics and marine microbiology.
