About

My role in Teacher Education allows me to work with students seeking to pursue careers in education, specifically in Primary schools. I've worked in and around Higher Education, Teaching and Primary Schools for over 20 years. Education is complicated, and I enjoy working with current and future teachers to make learning accessible, meaningful and successful.

My work in user experience research allows me to study education through an ethnographic lens. I am interested in the science of learning, and creativity across the curriculum.

Teaching responsibilities

I teach and lead on modules across the Undergraduate and Post Graduate teacher training programmes in the Institute of Education including maths, science, behaviour and learning, and the sociology of education. I teach on and lead the Enrichment module, looking at how teaching can contribute to social justice and global sustainability.
