About

I am a Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing based at the St Helena campus in Chesterfield. Prior to this I was a Specialist Dementia Nurse in the NHS and also have several years experience working as a nurse in Social Care. Between 1999 and 2013 I was a Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing and I am really excited to be back in nurse education so I can contribute to development of the future Mental Health Nursing workforce.

Teaching responsibilities

I am part of the team delivering Stage 1 of the BSc Nursing (Mental Health). 

Professional interests

I am passionate about dementia care and am also a Dementia Friends Champions. I am also very interested in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in the healthcare workforce, and particularly with respect to disability and healthcare professionals.
