About

With over two decades of experience in procurement, logistics, and supply chain management, I have dedicated my career to both professional practice and academic research. Since the late 1990s, I have provided operational, tactical, and strategic insights to clients in Iran and Latin America.

In September 2018, I joined the University of Derby, where I currently serve as a Senior Lecturer in Procurement and Operations Management at Derby Business School. I lead the Systems Improvement Research Cluster at the Centre for Supply Chain Improvement and hold the position of Deputy Chair of the College Ethics Committee. I am also an active member of the College of Business, Law and Social Sciences and the Research Centre for Business Improvement.

Before my tenure at Derby, I was a Research Fellow at the Institute of Logistics, Infrastructure, Supply & Transportation (LIST) at The University of Northampton. There, I contributed to two Horizon 2020 funded projects, AEOLIX (Global logistics connectivity & ICT) and PolyCE (Resource-efficient circular economy supply chains). Currently, I am the principal investigator for British Academy funded project (GRANT_NUMBER: WW23\100465) promoting gender equality in academic research in Thailand.

As a Chartered Member of both the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transportation (UK), I am Logistics pathway lead at Derby Business School and work closely with Novus which is a not-for-profit organisation operating under the umbrella of the CILT (UK). I am the Treasurer and PhD Coordinator at the The Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain Management SIG that focuses on all aspects of Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain Management (OLSCM).

I am committed to advancing the field through research, collaboration, and real-world impact. My expertise includes supply chain resilience, smart logistics solutions, and the integration of emerging technologies into transport networks.

I regularly publish in academic journals and present my research at conferences worldwide. Thank you for visiting my profile. I look forward to connecting with you.
