About

I have joined University of Derby as an early career academic under the biomedical sciences theme. I had the opportunity to get involved in different biomedical sciences teaching and research activities within the School of Human Sciences, College of Science and Engineering.

I come from a medical background and was trained in Physical Medicine, Rheumatology, and Rehabilitation at the National Institute for Neuromotor System, Cairo, Egypt.

My PhD research aimed at investigating two of the major contributing factors of diabetic foot ulceration, changes in endothelial function and mechanical foot pressure in order to better understand the mechanism of ulcer development in diabetic foot and help in improving therapeutic interventions design to prevent diabetic foot ulceration.
