About

I am a lecturer in youth work and community development and have been at the University of Derby for the past 2 years. Previously I have worked in the voluntary sector setting up and leading a faith-based youth work charity for 15 years and then working with a charity in the social care sector.

I have previously been a trustee for a number of charities across the East Midlands in the youth work arena.

Outside of the University I work as a Community worker for a charity and am also a freelance actor, director and writer and help lead a Christian community in Long Eaton.

I also volunteer as a radio presenter at Erewash Sound.

I am involved in local radio on a community radio station and recently got shortlisted for Entertainment Show of the Year at the Community Radio Awards and in 2024 hosted a 52 hour radiothon to raise money and awareness for local charities.

I help run a small Christian community in Long Eaton.

I am involved in my local theatre both performing for two theatre groups and writing/directing for a youth theatre group.
