I am a writer and a Creative Writing PhD student; my interests are primarily in Fantasy and Science Fiction, with my thesis focused on the latter. I write mainly short fiction, though I have also written poetry and longer forms of prose, amongst other media.

I started my research degree at the University of Derby in January 2021, having previously graduated with an undergraduate degree in Creative & Professional Writing from the same institution in 2019.

My research is focused on stoicism and its place in the science fiction genre, using creative writing to explore the tensions and criticisms within and about stoicism; in particular I will be exploring different historicised interpretations of stoicism that I have identified through the research process.
