My research is concerned with the experience of therapists who are using the principles and practices of Compassion Focused Therapy in their personal and professional lives. It is an Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (Smith, Flowers and Larkin, 2009) of ten participants who kept a semi-structured diary for five days and then participated in an interview about their diary, based on diary interview method (Zimmerman and Wieder, 1977).
