About

I am a lecturer in civil engineering and Drone Accountable Manager (DAM) for the university. My background is in a range of industrial and teaching/academic practice initially starting in industry as a mechanical and maintenance engineer in industry, before moving to civil engineering and management of the civil engineering laboratories within the university before finally becoming an academic. 

My research focuses on UAV operations and pedagogic practice, where I regularly undertake surveys around the country with my students, involving them in real world projects and commercial work as much as possible.
