About

I have been awarded 'Lecturer of the Year 2024' by the Students Union of the University of Derby. 

I have approximately 20 years of teaching experience at different universities in the UK, Australia, Bangladesh and China. Prior to joining the University of Derby, I worked as an Associate Professor of Accounting at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE), Dalian, China, which is an affiliated institution of the University of Surrey. I also worked at the University of Melbourne, Monash University, RMIT University, Swinburne University of Technology, CQ University-Melbourne, Melbourne Institute of Technology (MIT) and Federation University in Australia as an academic staff. I have also worked as a Professor of Accounting at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. 

I am gradually expanding my teaching and research opportunities here at the University of Derby and am looking forward to working with other academic and professional bodies across UK.   

I am happy to supervise PhD and DBA students with interesting and exciting ideas in line with my research interests.
