Keeping your Uni account secure

To keep your Uni login secure, we now ask you to use multifactor authentication (MFA) so that no one else can log in with your credentials. MFA combines something you know - eg your Uni login details - with something you have - eg your smartphone.

Learn more about MFA

Add as many verification methods as you can and keep them up to date. Changing your phone number? Update your MFA first!

Your login is unique to you, so never share your password with anyone else. If you forget, want to change, or manage your password, you’ll find helpful password management guides on the IT Service Centre Knowledge Base to keep you up and running.

And we have advice about staying safe online.

Unimail

Unimail is your university email account and is activated when you enrol. Simply log into UDo and click on the Unimail tile.

Your Unimail will be the email address we contact you on, so be sure to check it regularly so you don’t miss out on any important information from us or your lecturers and tutors.

Just so that you’re aware, we take your cybersecurity really seriously, so some emails from personal email addresses may be blocked or treated as spam.

You can access your full Unimail account through the Unimail tile or via Microsoft Outlook. For access on the move, download the Outlook app to your mobile device.

Need IT help?

The University’s IT Service Centre is here for you. If you need support with logging on or accessing our online resources, you can get in touch.

When you contact the IT Service Centre for help, also known as "raising a request" or "logging a ticket", we'll assign you a ticket number and work to resolve the issue as soon as possible for you. If we can’t help straight away, you can use the ticket number to track progress or refer back to your request.
