Supporting you

There’s no denying that coming to university is a big change. Not only are you meeting lots of new people but you’re adapting to different routines, and you might be living away from home for the first time. It’s natural to feel apprehensive. The most important thing to remember, is that you’re never alone.

We have a team of caring, dedicated and experienced support staff called the Student Services team, who you can turn to in times of need.

Our wide range of support services are free, confidential and non-judgmental, and we tailor our support packages to meet the needs of each and every student. Our Student Services team provides trusted advice and guidance for those with disabilities, with also support students with caring responsibilities, money worries, care leavers and students who are estranged.

If you have a long-term health condition, disability, or Specific Learning Difference, such as dyslexia or ADHD,  get in touch so that we can put together a Support Plan for you.

You can contact us by phone, email, online form or speak to someone in person at the StudentHub@Derby.
