Friday and daily prayers in Islamic traditions 

Friday and daily prayers hold a huge significance within Islam. The Quran invokes the importance of daily prayer and especially Friday in a chapter call “Al-Jummah,” meaning the day of congregation, which is also the word for Friday in Arabic. It states, “O you who believe! When you are called to congregational (Friday) prayer, hasten to the remembrance of God and leave off-trade. That is better for you, if you but knew.”Friday prayer services include a sermon, usually given by our Muslim Chaplain, Ali Akbar.

The sermons are all-inclusive and capture fundamental beliefs and practice, spiritual and personal well-being, moral values, peace and integration. During the blessed months of Ramadan, Zil Hijjah, Rabi-ul-Awwal and Muharam, the sermons are dedicated to subjects related to them.

Friday and daily prayers are held in the Multi-Faith Centre.

Bible study

The Bible was the first mass-printed book. It is widely considered the best-selling book of all time, with estimated annual sales of 100 million copies. It has influenced the language and literature of the English-speaking world more than any other book. Come along to our weekly study group if you want to discover more about its contents. Weekly Quran Circles

Weekly Quran circles are an opportunity for us to come together and read, reflect, and share our understanding of Quran with others in a safe and respectful environment. Our discussion will focus on the topic the participants have chosen from the Quran
