Alice is dedicated to using dance to address complex social issues. With extensive experience in community facilitation and performance, she shares her expertise with all those she teaches. Her research has contributed to scholarly discussions, but above all she is committed to training and nurturing the talent of aspiring dance artists.

Senior Lecturer in Education Studies and MA Education

Mthulisi is a Postgraduate Research Student who is investigating how African newspapers are framing China’s increasing involvement in the continent. 

As a Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education, Matt draws on years of experience working in Universities and Primary Schools. He teaches across Undergraduate and Post Graduate courses, with a focus on Social Justice and sustainability in education. 

Simi McConnell is an Associate Lecturer for the Institute of Education.

Kathleen is a Senior Lecturer in History and teaches across the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. She specialises in nineteenth-century and early twentieth-century British history with a focus on health, welfare and work. Kathleen is Programme Leader for the MA in History and Heritage. 

Daithi is a senior lecturer in media teaching across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. 

As a Lecturer of Education in the Institute of Education, Lynsey delivers initial teacher training to trainee teachers on curriculum design and development; research-informed practice; inclusive practice and innovative 21st-century teaching with the aim ensuring that teachers of tomorrow are reflective practitioners who are best prepared to be outstanding in education.
