She teaches at all levels, supervises research students and contributes to the university's doctoral supervisor training. As Deputy Chair of the HPSC College Research Committee, she supports our research community and contributes to strategic developments enhancing sustainable research and innovation

As a Senior Lecturer in Post Graduate Nursing Erica has been part of the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing team since 2019. As Pathway lead for the School Nursing, she supports this cohort of students both academically and in practice.

Lecturer in Health Psychology

Dr Jenny Lunt is a lecturer in Health Psychology here at the University of Derby. Prior to joining the University of Derby, Jenny worked as an independent practitioner and as a principal psychologist within the health and safety executive. Jenny is now active in research, focusing on the application of behaviour change to Health and Safety and Recovery at work.

Professor of Psychology and Affective Science

Professor Frances Maratos is a chartered psychologist and leading expert in affective science. Her ground-breaking research in the field of Compassion in Education, as well as wellbeing, is world renown. She leads provision of our Compassion CPD’s and curriculums at the UoD, is widely published, has excellent grant capture and is a spokesperson for the Global Compassion Coalition.

Helen has worked for the University of Derby for over 26 years, starting out using her chemistry qualifications for analytical research into injectable medicines. She has had a varied journey, from research to programme leading Aseptic Services for Pharmacy Technicians, then on to teach across science and health areas.

Juliet is an associate lecturer and postgraduate research student with previous experience working in education, the homeless and vulnerable sector, housing management and in the prison system. She is passionate about evidence-led policy and practice, particularly in the criminal justice sector. Her research aim is to influence this.
